A Look in the Rear-View Mirror

These are some of the more interesting people I've worked with and places in which I've taught or performed.

2016

In 2016, once again, real-life issues precluded much Tango travel. Family medical issues especially took time, and things got even more intense over the next two years. I mostly stopped teaching, except for some privates, up through the start of the pandemic.

2015

July 10-14 I went back to DC, teaching solo, and with Aja Fenn and Masha Abapolnikova. We taught workshops and classes, hosted a practica, and taught the pre-milonga class at Zandunga again.

The weekend of February 20-21, I was in DC. I taught intermediate and advanced classes with Aja Fenn at Stroga on Friday, and then the premilonga clas at Milonga Zandunga on Saturday.

The weekend of February 6-8 2015, I taught five workshops in St. Louis with Kimberly Han. That was our first time teaching and performing in St. Louis and we had a blast!

2014

I took most of 2014 off from teaching Tango, due to various "real-life" activities taking precedence. However I did enjoy teaching a couple of workshops in Miami at the end of March.

2013

The weekend of October 3-5, I taught workshops at the Seattle Fusion Festival with Kimberly Han. It was a wonderful down-the-rabbit-hole weekend!

At the end of July, Kimberly Han came to NYC. We taught an invitation-only advanced workshop and performed a couple of times. I'll post some videos soon.

In May in Washington DC, I taught the inaugural five-week series of classes with the lovely Aja Fenn at the Stroga Studio. Each Friday we did a one hour complete beginner intro class, and a 90-minute advanced class. We also performed at the Church, though this was on the spur of the moment, and I don't think there's any video. This was a very successful new venue, and schedule permitting, I'll return later in the year.

On March 8, I taught and performed with Jenna Rohrbacher at Tango Lounge. That was my first time working with Jenna, and hopefully it won't be the last.

On February 23, I taught a class and performed with Rebecca Rorick Smith at the Yale Tango Club's Milonga Azul. That was my first time working with Rebecca, and it was a real pleasure.

On February 16, I taught the pre-milonga class again at Ramu Pyreddy's Milonga Zandunga in Washington DC. I didn't have a partner that day so there was no performance.

Prior to the fall of 2012, I didn't keep close track of previous travels, but from 2010-2012 I taught and performed with my former partner Vanja in Baltimore, DC, Philadelphia, Buffalo, Princeton, New Haven (Yale), Providence, Boston, and the Cayman Islands. And, of course, in many venues in New York City.
